The park is the gathering place for the Sadieville community. Kids of all ages can be entertained and active as they climb, swing, slide, play volleyball or basketball. Friends and family can come together to picnic and take part in the many events scheduled throughout the year.

The City of Sadieville has made some great updates to Pike Street Park. Playground equipment was added, a volleyball court and tetherball were also added. With a grant from the Kentucky Energy & Environment Cabinet, Division of Waste Management, the surface of the playground area was improved with crumb rubber mulch.

After the Sewer Project was completed the Wastewater Treatment Plant located on the park property was renovated and converted into the new Sadieville Police Station. Handicapped parking was added and the driveway was paved.

A picnic shelter was added to the end of the Police Station which serves as a place for community events and picnics. Now everything is handicapped accessible.

Updates & Future Plans

The city is currently adding a public restroom facility to the police station at Pike Street Park/Trailhead. Plans are to make the park a trailhead/trail stop for outdoor recreation for northern Scott County. Other plans are to install a water hydration station and develop trails throughout Sadieville and the urban service boundary. Eventually our trails will tie into a regional non-motorized trails system for hikers, cyclists, horseback riders and water trails in Eagle Creek for kayaking and canoeing.

The City is also working on a plan to build a large gazebo at the park to be used for concerts and other events. There will also be trail signage and a message board installed as we continue to apply for grants and host fundraising events like the Sadie”Hill” Bike Tour that was a great success last October.
